Walls, plaster and paint
Fresco
“The best wallpaper looks like a wall.”
Fresco paints surfaces: limewash, troweled plaster, watercolor on rough paper, terrazzo floors. The color is flat from across the room and alive up close, the way a hand-finished wall is.
These are the pieces to choose when you want warmth without a pattern. They were built after our own data showed that single-color, touchable textures were what people actually kept.
