Why these look sharper than most free wallpapers
Most free wallpapers are one image stretched to fit every device. A picture made for a monitor gets cropped to a tall phone screen, or a small image gets enlarged to 4K, and the result is soft edges, banding in the gradients and compression grit.
Screenpaper wallpapers are not pictures of anything. Each one is a set of instructions, and the instructions are run again for every screen shape. The phone version is composed for a tall screen with the clock in mind; the desktop version is composed for a wide one. Both are drawn at their full pixel size, so a line is exactly as crisp at 3840 pixels wide as it is at 1440.
